I think being a photographer is a privileged position, preserving precious memories for years to come. I pride myself on making people feel relaxed and comfortable in front of the camera. I think it’s important that whoever is being photographed has fun and enjoys it – the subject and the photos feel better for it.
With wedding photography, I like to record the events as they happen. My approach is to try and capture the mood of the event, through reportage images. But before the big day, I like to meet with each couple to discuss how much time they want to spend on posed pictures and family groups. I like to listen to the couples ideas and get good understanding of their expectations. I recommend not more than 8-10 formal family group shots – so that we leave plenty of time for the couple photographs. I’m flexible in my approach and can taylor my services to the individual couples needs.
Spontaneity is important. Some of my best experiences as a photographer are when the person you are photographing gets carred away in the moment and wants to experiment in front of the camera. I aim to create a unique photo essay and an heirloom for your family. Every wedding is totally different which is why my job is so exciting. In fact I like surprises, so if you have an unusual wedding planned then I’d be really interested to find out more.
I am based in Woking in Surrey and work mostly in Surrey London, Essex and Hertfordshire. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch with me. I’d only be happy to answer any question and listen to your ideas.
